The artwork of Virginia González
Life in a sketch
Virginia is an artist from Barcelona with a degree in Advertising and PR. At the end of her degreeshe went to live in London for a year and began to draw in the Central Saint Martins school "to try it out" and since then has not been able to stop doing it. Upon returning, she completed a postgraduate course in Children’s and Youth Illustration in EINA. But above all that is a love for travelling. Anywhere.
Finding inspiration in the streets and giving them life
Finding inspiration in everyday life. Her challenge is portraying reality in a nice and beautiful way. That is, to enhance the beauty of everyday life. And to achieve this, Virginia is equipped with vivid colors. She enjoys drawing fashion, as if she were a couture designer making an outline. She also loves illustrating food, and of course the cities and countries she visits. She keeps all her memories in her sketchbook which she always carries with her.
"My favorite brushes are the Escoda Perla for their delicacy in the details. When you draw urban environments and you have to draw small details such as blinds or balconies, it is very important that the brushes are fine and adapt to your style."
